Tackling Inequality, Poverty, Unem-ployment & Lack of Oportunities in UK

Executive Summary 

Accelerating technological unemployment will likely be one of the most challenging societal issues in the twenty-first Century. The so called “Fourth Industrial Revolution”. 

COVID 19 accelerates this trend even more and made us look out for a sustainable solution to tackle unemployment and poverty. 

The answer of the UK Government related to our actual situation is to put everyone in a mean tested benefit system called “Universal Credit” and set to double the number of work coaches in jobcentres by March 2021. The 13,500 new work coaches should help the people to find jobs. But where are the jobs? 

Our answer is “Universal Basic Income” (UBS). We advocate that every citizen, regardless of their means, receives a sum of £1,000, regularly and for life to cover the basic cost of living.
